In the last two weeks I think that I’ve presented about 3 or 4 speakers designs, but the design for today is the cutest, and I can say that is also my favorite. These speakers are simply called Speak-er, and for now they are just a very interesting “speak bubble shaped speakers” concept from Sherwood Forlee. This designer has on his page a sentence that I totally adore : “Sherwood Forlee is a designer with no design or art education.” I love this sentence because this is another proof that of a very creative product, without spending years studying. In these days with all the informations available on the internet you can learn anything and master it if you really want.

Two-piece Flower Vase in the Shape of a Whale
The flowers, placed in the whale’s ‘blow hole’, are like a colorful burst of water spray. Bêda’s vase is still in the concept phase, but he is looking to have it produced and on the market. I hope that he will get lucky and find someone that will help him produce this vase, because the design looks very good, and would be great in any modern home.

Cool Bedroom Radio Clock Shaped like a Capsule
Small and interesting objects are used to add some color, or to make a boring place a little bit more interesting. Created by the Hong-Kong based Sequoia-studio “Gélule” is a concept radio clock shaped like a capsule with a backlit LCD display and an omni-directional speaker and is a great object that can attract attention in any room. The volume can be adjusted by rotating the speaker. Personally I would like such an interesting radio clock to wake up me in the morning, because it has a simple design that looks awesome

Summer Houseboat
If you enjoy being in a houseboat floating down a river by green meadows then you will like this floating houseboat designed by Russian architect, Vladimir Plotkin. The structure was built for the Arch Stoyanie Summer Festival 2008 in Nikola-Lenivets village, Kaluga, Russia. This summer’s festival theme was “Noah’s Ark”. The houseboat was actually floated down a gently meandering river in what looks a pastoral landscape.

The Penta Pendant Lamp
With a versatile and attractive design, the Penta lamp is a striking concept created by Luca Casarotto of Cosca Design in Northern Italy. Made of recycled polyethylene, with a shape that suggests rotary motion, the Penta Lamp is innovative for to dynamically change its shape and create the optimum lighting for your mood. Open it up and the light will fill the whole room, while folded shut it’s good for spotlights. Warm, moody, modern yet traditional and with a unique shape, that’s definitely a lamp I’d go for. What about you?
